Avengers: Endgame Movie Explained: What’s Up With the Ending?

As is known from previous Infinite Wars, Thanos (Josh Brolin) the orderly of the forest snapped his fingers so well that he blew at least half of the galaxy into dust. Now the remaining half, Thanos believes, will live like a king: there are plenty of places. With the consciousness of an honestly fulfilled duty, Thanos dumped on a pensioner planet planted with gardens, after which he began to collect root slugs, cook lean soup from them and eat it, remembering his military past.

Meanwhile, on Mother Earth, the Avengers yearn with terrible force, because they could not stop Thanos and lost at least half of their current composition. Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) along with Nebula (Karen Gillan) hang out in space without fuel and prospects, so that Stark only remains to be sad and write audio letters to the kind Ekaterina Matveevna Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow). However, Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), who was jet-powered, rescued them, so the Avengers, having gathered together, still found Thanos, but what’s the point: the villainous Thanos destroyed the magic stones, so now there’s no way to return anyone.

As a result, the Avengers completely swam. Captain America (Chris Evans) hosts psychiatric help meetings. The Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) is trying to lead who knows what. Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) methodically mows down members of the yakuza and hot tub out of anguish. In general, everyone is busy with the devil knows what and waiting for a rat.

Which will turn on the toggle switch on the magic machine of Professor Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), as a result of which Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) will finally be rescued from subatomic space and will act as a catalyst for integration processes: The Avengers will finally understand what they just need invent a time machine, and rush to where Thanos has not yet reached the pebbles. After that, it remains to collect the pebbles, insert into the glove and flip everything back to hell, amen.

The last, already twenty-second, film of cinematic incarnations of the Marvel comic book Avengers of the so-called “Infinity Saga”: they were in a variety of forms – both en masse and without an ensemble. The previous Avengers: Infinity War, where the cursed Thanos devoured the mustache in the open ending, disappointed some viewers, but the friendly detachment of fans of the Marvel universe was sure: you just need to wait a year and a half and the Avengers will definitely come up with something, where will they go.

Here is the current final picture just shows what exactly they came up with. Of course, nothing supernatural happened: the usual banal transition in time and all the entertainment that accompanies it. Well, everyone understood that we were facing the final appearance on the stage of all the characters ever mentioned in the franchise, including the smallest ones.

It all started rather sadly. A greatly depleted squad of superheroes toils like a superhero toy, and this continues for quite a long time – until the appearance of the long-awaited rat that freed Ant-Man, after which the action, thank God, noticeably quickens, and then the standard fun begins.

The adventures of the Avengers in the past are fun and funny. No one bothers with time paradoxes, so the Avengers can meet themselves and give themselves a loaf of bread – this is normal. At first, stones cannot be collected in any way, but we understand that the stones have no chance to hide somewhere so that they are not collected in one lump.

The final battle with the adversary is made absolutely epic, and there even small and inconspicuous superheroes are honored with a solo exit. In theory, there are a lot of questions about the logic of what is happening, but then you remember that this is just a comic, so it’s better not to worry and just have fun.

Well, yes, some heroes have noticeably faded: for example, the fighting raccoon here is completely for furniture, and some kind of idiot was made from Star Lord in the last film, what is here. Well, yes, the scene where the Black Widow and Hawkeye are struggling to sacrifice themselves in the name of an ungrateful humanity is quite idiotic. But otherwise, beautiful Marquise, everything is quite vindictive and superheroic.

And they ended well – sentimentally, as it should be: the audience in the hall together squelched their noses and pretended that a speck had got into their eyes. That’s just the feeling of a protracted finale of the picture was not there, otherwise I was afraid that there would begin an endless fraternization-farewell, as in the last “Lord of the Rings”, where Frodo kissed Sam on sugar lips so many times that Jackson, in a good way, should they already rent an apartment for two. Everything here was within reason. And we know for sure that this picture is the most final ending, because there is one hundred percent sign: there is no post-credits scene, I truly tell you.

So thanks to Marvel Studios for our happy superheroes, thanks for the quite worthy finale of the Saga: thank God, Thanos failed to make humanity happy, so now the Earth will again be overpopulated to hell, because of which various household scandals will constantly arise on it .

But we, Marvel fans and sympathizers, understand that we can not relax. This story is over, but they still have so many superheroes up their sleeve that some new twenty-episode franchise with other superheroes will start. Or maybe these will appear somewhere on the backup dancers – who really knows them.

So all the best, see you with the new elusive avengers, gentlemen!

PS In the review, I specifically give screenshots only from the first twenty minutes of the film – to avoid spoilers. And then all of a sudden you won’t guess that Tanushka will be defeated, right?
