a quick look at Freddy’s Nightmares: A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Series

Freddys-Nightmares-A-Nightmare-on-Elm-Street-The-Series

This… is just… I dunno.

I’m no expert on Freddy’s Nightmares: A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Series, but this series is the biggest shitbiscuit I’ve ever seen

To use internet vernacular, OMFG.  WTFWTT?  If you’re not familiar with the show, it was an anthology series – meaning Freddy was the only regular, and he’d serve as a framing device but didn’t always feature in the story himself.  That’s right – they made episodes of a TV show called Freddy’s Nightmares: A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Series (just rolls right off your tongue) where Freddy doesn’t kill people.  And what’s stranger, Freddy as the host was… mind-boggling. He’d be on these cheap sound stages and speaking directly to you, the viewer, as he looked right into the camera.  Many episodes were like Fridays on The Super Mario Bros. Super Show (which made its broadcast debut the same year) when they showed the Legend of Zelda cartoon; Mario and Luigi were just there to let you know that Link and Zelda were going on another adventure.

There were 44 episodes of Freddy’s Nightmares: A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Series and as of now, there’s no way to seem them… and this is probably a good thing.  From the little that survives and as best as I can remember, the show is awful.  Just watch this instead.
