Victor Frankenstein, The Jungle Book, The Night Before & Krampus (Baffling Movie Trailers)

movie-posters-2015

This very well me the happiest edition of Baffling Movie Trailers ever… until the end, that is.

Victor Frankenstein
Victor Frankenstein
couldn’t be any more Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes but with monsters if it tried, but the thing is, I like those movies and I like Daniel Radcliffe and James McAvoy, and I’m always up for a rollicking British adventure, so I’m down.

The Night Before
How can you not be excited for a Seth Rogen comedy that also features Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Anthony Mackie?  The Night Before looks like it has everything you could want in a comedy:  great cast, jokes about drugs and religion and Seth Rogen.  You might say I already mentioned Rogen and then again when I said “great cast,” but I cannot emphasis to you enough how much a comedy is improved by Seth Rogen.  Take my money, Seth.  TAKE IT!

Krampus
You’ve gotta love how this trailer is cut.  Dysfunctional family Christmas comedy!  I bet you’re sick of those… just kidding, Krampus is here to kill all of you!  But if Krampus is the shadow of St. Nicholas, then Krampus better fight Santa in the third act!  How sweet would that be if Krampus has Adam Scott by the throat and then Santa appears:  “Krampus!  Put. Him.  DOWN.”  Awesome.  I would watch ten of these if Krampus fights Santa at the end of each flick.

The Jungle Book
OK… uhm…  hmm…  I’m not sure how I feel about Disney remaking all of their animated features into live action flicks.  Nevertheless, the trailer does make the movie look exciting and yet, I am not excited to see the movie.  I also wonder why they didn’t do an entirely CG movie as the characters look very digital to me, but then, the movie isn’t coming out till next year, so they might up their game between now and then.

I can’t explain it.  Does the below make you want to run to the theater?
