“Tutti Frutti” was originally about anal sex

Whoever you are, you’ve gotta love Little Richard.  He brought such power and passion to his music.  The Beatles used to copy his signature “woooooo!”  The guy practically invented rock and roll… but I didn’t know they brought in lyricists to clean up “Tutti Frutti” and given that it was 50s, you can see why.

So, the original words were:

Tutti Frutti, good booty
If it don’t fit, don’t force it
You can grease it, make it easy

Yeah… apparently, not up to McCarthy Era standards.  If you were wondering what he meant by “…a girl name Sue, She knows just what to do,” well, I’d say it’s fairly obvious.  Or “Sue” is just an easy rhyme.  But if they were going for easy, they would have went with, “Got a girl named Sue, you know that I love you.” That sort of thing still plays now, never mind back then.

OK, I’m done ruining Little Richard for you.
