Living in Oblivion quick movie review
There’s movies about making movies, and then there’s Living in Oblivion, headlined by Steve Buscemi, Catherine Keener and Peter Dinklage.
Also, this is one of the worst trailers I’ve ever seen.
I don’t want to say much about Living in Oblivion because it’ll spoil it, so I’ll give you the score than jump into quick spoilers… yeah, it’s a really good movie – 9 out of 10.
All three acts are very rounded off – it’s clear when each one starts and ends. The first two are both dreams about filming a different scene in the movie and in the third one, they’re filming a dream sequence. I’m not even sure what’s happening with the color and black and white; at first, I thought reality was black and white and the movie was color, but I’m pretty sure that’s wrong…
Again, I loved this movie and I don’t want to prattle on and ruin it for you, so if you haven’t seen it, check it out – Living in Oblivion is streaming on Amazon (but it’s not Prime).
