“Single Ladies x Duck Tales” VS “Earl Sinclair performs Hypnotize by The Notorious B.I.G.”

I just came across the “Single Ladies x Duck Tales” and “Earl Sinclair performs Hypnotize by The Notorious B.I.G.” videos.  One is lazy click bait that your brain likes for some reason (unless you’re me) and the other is a masterful editing work of genius.

Our Week in Pictures

german-thyme-plant

Guess what time it is?  The following answers are acceptable:

  1. Time to see the UNBELIEVABLE shenanigans two domestic thirtysomethings got up to this week in brilliant color photographs as captured by my phone
  2. German Thyme Read the rest of this entry

MOVIE TRAILER MANIA! Point Break (remake), The Intern, Unexpected, Irrational Man

So many movies come out every year and I gotta be honest with ya; most of em look like the tightly coiled piles my dogs leave on the lawn.  Here’s my take on four new movie trailers.

Ranking the Top 5 Rides at EPCOT (and 9 others you should consider)

EPCOT-the-circle-of-life-closed

The Circle of Life is CLOSED.

A long while ago, I talked about WDWR’s best attractions, but now it’s time to get specific.  EPCOT is the proverbial red-headed step child to Walt Disney World Resort’s favorite son, the Magic Kingdom, but there is fun to be had at Every Person Comes Out Tired… especially if you’re over 21.  Today, I shall incur the wrath of Disney enthusiasts everywhere as I Rank the Top 5 Rides at EPCOT and mention 9 others you should consider while you’re at the park.  Let us begin!  Read the rest of this entry

Bernie Williams officially retires, gets his plaque

It all kinda happened at once, huh?  Bernie Williams hasn’t played since 2006 and he’s just getting around to signing his retirement papers.  Maybe his playing career had a bit of an ugly ending, but everything is getting prettied up now.  Now, his number is retired, his plaque is up… it’s all finally happened! click the link for more video of Bernie’s retirement!

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes movie review

Like the first installment of the rebooted franchise, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes features little in the way of surprises, but is generally superior to Rise without being especially remarkable.

Dead Again movie review

Dead Again is one of those movies that leaves it all out on the field.  It has excellent performances from Kenneth Branagh, Emma Thompson and Robin Williams (and, to a lesser extent,  Andy Garcia and Derek Jacobi).  I wouldn’t say it’s a great movie, and it certainly has some fresh ideas for the film noir mystery genre, but it comes up a bit short.  Read the rest of this entry

Starbucks + Duane Reade + My Butthole = Jade Helm 16

starbucks-duane-reed

America is great because it’s always permissible to talk out of one’s butthole. But the thing is, the internet has turned a shout into an ear rattling ROAR that everyone can hear, even elected officials.  Yeah, Jade Helm 15 – it’s a thing. A real thing.  It’s a devious plan orchestrated buggy the White House to impose Marshall Law on American Citizens by the armed forces sworn to protect them, and just because they’re Republicans!  It’s TRUE!  So true!  The truest thing that’s ever been true!

truthiness

With all this in mind, I bring you Jade Helm 16 – Marshall Law in New York City!  The facts don’t lie!

“Dad Bods” are nothing to be proud of

andy-dwyer

An Open Letter to Men,

Hi guys!  I hope you’re doing well, because as a gender… we keep f@cking up.  It’s the Twenty First Century, but sexism, sexual assault and rape are still running rampant.  Not only does the Congressional Committee on Global Women’s Issues handle five other things, but it only seems to have only one female member.  We can’t even watch a Mad Max reboot without complaining that women have ruined it.  Bros, this is not good.  Maybe if all of these other bits weren’t a thing, we could get away with the “Dad Bods” idea, but seriously, guys, the least we can do is f@cking exercise.  Read the rest of this entry

Westin Hotel Showers are Recording Booths

Every time we stay in a Westin, I can’t help but notice the showers and how they are equipped with one mammoth overhead fixture and then a second detachable shower head that looks like a microphone.  And therefore, one can get their Ferris Bueller on. Read the rest of this entry

Daredevil season 1 review

daredevil-netflix-black-costume

After watching Agents of SHIELD, Agent Carter and Gotham, I can’t express how enjoyable an experience it was to watch Daredevil on Netflix.  (But I’m going to try.)  Finally, after… I dunno, 10 movies and two TV series,  Marvel was able to cut loose and bring us a reality that wasn’t too grim but still was recognizable as our own; or as close as we’d like to get.   Daredevil is the show comic books fans have been waiting for since Iron Man first hit the stage.
