All the X-Men movies reviewed!

I gotta say, X-Men: Days of Future Past looks like fun! Lots of good actors (Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart just to name a few), superpowers, time travel… What else could you ask for in an action movie? Well, it has giant robots, too, so we should be well covered. But probably more so than any other comic book movie sequel, here’s one you need to do your homework for. In effort to get you prepared, here are my reviews and scores for all of the X-Men movies!

If you’re in the mood to read the full review, click the title of the flick, but otherwise, here come the scores! The first X-Men movie really changed the super hero film landscape. It stood on the shoulders of its predecessors while breaking new ground – I give it an 8 out of 10. Much to my surprise, X-Men United (x2) was the Wrath of Khan of the X-Men movies (sorta literally), but it’s still great – 9 out of 10. Let’s just say the third one is bad – X-Men: The Last Stand (X3) gets a 3 out of 10. I was happy with X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but nobody else was – I gave it a 7 out of 10. I also liked X-Men First Class and dropped a 7 out of 10 on that one as well. The Wolverine did better and earned an 8 out of 10.

I might be dialing my expectations for X-Men: Days of Future Past too high, but I think the movie’s promise merits the hype.
