Jesse “The Body” Ventura – a professional wrestler, a movie star and a governor

Look how he blurs! Standard definition can not contain him!

Sometimes, I think about the career of Jesse “The Body” Ventura and I get a little misty-eyed.  What an amazing country the United States of America is; truly, a land of opportunity.  Just look at the career path:  he was a professional wrestler, then a movie star, then a governor and now he’s on his second TV show.  You kinda have to wipe away a tear and say, “God bless America.”  If you aren’t convinced, take a look at this and tell me that you’re not proud this man rose to the rank of Governor in the United States.  Tell me.  I dare you.

This man was governor of Minnesota.  He built a light rail in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area.

[sniffle]  He built a light rail.

(Not a monorail, but still, very impressive.)

“I’ve been touring with Fleetwood Mac!  I’ve been partying with REO Speedwagon!”

These promos are now a piece of American History.  I will treasure them always and show them to my grandchildren.  Thank you, good people of the Minnesota Reform Party.

(Fleetwood Mac and REO Speedwagon probably thank you, too.)

What a journey by Jessee Ventura!  You truly can go your own way!
