A quick word on Philip Seymour Hoffman

Everyone here at Creative Jamie was shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of Philip Seymour Hoffman.  The man was a true genius in the art of acting and brought a level of subtly to the screen that I don’t think we’ll ever see again.  Even when playing a role like the verbose Truman Capote or the calculating Plutarch Heavensbee in The Hunger Games action movies, Hoffman showed us just what performing can be, no matter what the role.  I can’t tell you how lucky I feel that we have so many films to study so we can continue to learn from him even after he’s gone.

Farewell, Philip Seymour Hoffman – we miss you already.
