Oh Hai, Radio Stations that only play Christmas Music; why you playin' "Linus and Lucy?"

When it comes to Christmas Albums, the Vince Guaraldi Trio’s soundtrack to A Charlie Brown Christmas is at the top of the heap. And, since, it’s a soundtrack, the album includes the signature song from the Peanuts specials, that being "Linus and Lucy." And here’s where we run into an issue.

The Radio Stations that only play Christmas music for a month or so at a time run "Linus and Lucy" (along with everything else) into the ground, but the thing is, "Linus and Lucy" is the only song on the album that’s not a Christmas song! We’re talking about a 16 track album that only has one non-Christmas themed song, and that’s the one everyone plays. I haven’t heard "Christmas Time is Here" once this season.

Now that’s crazier than Peter Robbins stalking his ex girlfriend’s plastic surgeon!

Uhm, anyway, let’s have more "Christmas Time is Here" and maybe no "Linus and Lucy." A Charlie Brown Christmas is free to watch on Hulu right now, no log in required…
