9 Nerdy Christmas Gifts I Received

I hope everybody had a great Christmas – I sure did, as you will see.  Whoever said it is better to give than to receive didn’t get these nerdy Christmas gifts that prove once and for all that some people just get me.  Here’s what I got in no particular order:

9. Star Trek The Next Generation Communicator Christmas Ornament

It’s a mouthful to say, but it’s also a great gift.  Dr. Girlfriend got this vintage bit of goodness for me and it’s truly the finest technology 1992 has to offer.

8.  Star Trek TOS USS Enterprise bottle opener

Speaking of boldly going where no one has gone before, I also got this bad boy.  Anyone got any green liquor that needs opening?

7.  Oranges:  Revenge of the Eggplant (dvd)

Puppets made out of fruit – and it’s an action movie.  I am very much looking forward to this Red Letter Media production!  Check out the trailer here.

6.  DC Superheros Ultimate Pop-up Book

This might seem like an unusual present for a grown man to receive, but it’s awesome.  And look at this:  the Bat Symbol lights up.  That is crazy!

5.  Zelda Pixel Heat Morph Mug

The heart changes from full to empty based on the temperature of the mug.  Does Dr. Girlfriend hit home runs or what?!?

4.  Batman Slanket

I might not be Batman (might), but at least I can be as warm as he is.

3.  Batman socks with CAPES

Yes, these socks have capes.  Suck on THAT!

2.  Evolution of the Bat Signal Poster

So awesome, so classy… and Batman seems to be checking if his boot is untied or not.  Love it – can’t wait to get it framed.

1.  Star Wars Chop Sticks:  Luke Skywalker/RotJ style!

Does it get any nerdier than that?  Star Wars chopsticks that are specific to Return of the Jedi?  LOVE IT!

*NOT PICTURED:  a 100 piece Spider-Man puzzle; a ‘classically trained’ t-shirt that features a picture of a NES on it
