Andy Griffith: 1926-2012

I’m sure you’ve heard by now that Andy Griffith passed away today and if you’ve read any of his obituaries, just about everything that can be said about the man has already been said. Still, I do want to take a brief moment to say how much I enjoyed watching that man perform. Whether it was The Andy Griffith Show (which is the shit, by the way – and available on Netflix instant), Matlock (Griffith is great in it, but for me, the ensemble falls short of the TAGS cast and is mostly there to move the plot along) or one of his movies, the man could flat out act. Obviously, he could do other things, and I’ll leave you with one of them.

“What It Was, Was Football”

Bye, Andy – and thanks.
