A Day On Facebook

facebookAs someone who just posts the latest blog entries from this site on Facebook and does little else, the concept is a bit of a mystery to me.  I took a look at what was posted at a random time on a random day so I could share a sample of what I came across and how I felt about it.  The names have been removed to protect the innocent and although my intention was not to offend anyone, feel free to curse me out in the comments – although this will expose you as one of the status updatees.

Drop knowledge not bombs. all in all knowledge leaves a more massive wake.
I guess it does.  What if I want to drop truth bombs?  I feel like I walked in on the middle of a conversation, but I don’t see anyone else talking…

Who had the first phone number and what was that number?
Google it.

Laundry and watching “switched at birth” with my love ♥
Not sure I needed to know that.  And why is everything on ABC Family so inappropriate for family viewing?

Sad day today we lost one of [my kid’s] beloved pandi crocs : (
Can’t you just buy new ones?

crunch time.
Are you eating chips?  Studying?  Crunching the bones of your enemies beneath your feet?
Probably not that last one.

So sleepy goodnight bed for us ♥
What, no review of Switched at Birth?  Weak.

craving a milkshake like no other
Dude, you have no idea if that’s true.  Well, I’m not craving a milkshake, so you got me there.

Wife is asleep while I have a sleepy/ cranky baby girl
I’m not one to give parenting advise, but if things are going askew with your kid… maybe put down the phone?  Maybe?

Damn you Greys Anatomy! What [a] crappy ending!
So this show doesn’t always hit the mark, huh?  Shocking.

My new shoes 🙂

Augh….should be sleeping…
Try exercise.  Warm milk.  Not hanging out on Facebook.

When do I get a break!!!!!!!!
You’re on Facebook… aren’t you taking one right now?

It’s a boy!!!!!
Ironically, the quiz master asking about the first phone number ever is now using Facebook for what I assumed it was designed for.

Well, there you have it.  My intention wasn’t to offend (although I’m sure I did), but I just wanted to take a look and see if people really did post the sort of inane drivel I’d heard about, and they really do!  And not just casual acquaintances –  people I’m related to are just killing me with nonsense.  I’m not going to lie – I don’t understand this.

But I think this is me not trying to understand it anymore.
