Post Valentines Day
That says it all.
I’m fortunate enough to be celebrating for the 5th consecutive year with the same Valentine. Sorry if that statement is the sort of thing that makes you want to grind those message hearts into a fine powder and snort them, but it’s true. It occurred to me that while Valentines Day may be regarded as a Hallmark holiday, it doesn’t have to be perfunctory. You could argue that you and your someone don’t need February 14 because you already have an anniversary, but don’t let that stop you. Celebrating your love twice a year is a good thing and doesn’t have to be all greeting cards, flowers and overpriced dinners at crowded restaurants. Love is rare, fragile and the best drug there is – so snort it up.
